Our legal billing service is designed to make the process easy and efficient for you. Below is the basic monthly process:
1. Send all your time, payments, retainers, costs, new case files, etc. by a predetermined cut-off date or closing date.
2. We will input all your raw data and prepare and e-mail a set of worksheets or bills for your review in .pdf format. At that time, you will also receive our invoice for services rendered, which is payable upon receipt.
3. After completing your review, send your revisions, which we will complete and e-mail back to you your final invoices, along with predetermined reports in .pdf format.
4. Once you have verified that all invoices are correct and have been sent to the Clients, we will generate Final Reports reflecting your A/R Balances and Trust Account Balances in .pdf format.
Your database is backed up overnight to the Cloud to avoid any potential data loss due to computer failure.
We do not handle collections or billing disputes with your Clients. If you need reports or invoice copies (up to 12 months), we can provide those upon your request.
In addition to standard billing, many law firms are contending with electronic billing requirements, particularly for insurance defense firms. Firms are required to submit electronic invoices in specific formats with embedded UTMBS task codes via third party billing sites.
